Global Health EDCTP3 – Call for expressions of interest: join the Stakeholders’ Group
Who can apply
The Stakeholders’ Group is open to all public and private stakeholder organisations, including organised groups and international interest groups that are active in the field of global health and aligned with the mission of Global Health EDCTP3.
The group aims for balanced representation across geography, thematic focus, and gender, with a particular emphasis on expertise from sub-Saharan Africa.
The call is aimed at organisations, not individuals. Selected organisations will be invited to appoint a representative and an alternate.

Unlock Global Research Opportunities with MSCA Actions – the two-part webinar series organized by EURAXESS Africa on 2 and 3 July 2025 – successfully brought together hundreds of researchers, academics, and research managers from across the continent. The events demonstrated a growing appetite for international research collaboration and mobility.
These webinars focused on the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), the European Union’s flagship programme designed to support researcher mobility, skills development, and global career progression.
Horizon Europe Africa Initiative III: Unprecedented Interest from Kenyan Scientists
The Horizon Europe – Africa Initiative III launch event drew exceptional interest, with over 900 registered participants and more than 500 attending live. A particularly engaging Q&A session followed the presentations, featuring insightful questions and interventions from Kenyan scientists and institutional representatives. The vibrant exchange underscored not only the relevance of the topics discussed but also the strong and growing interest of Kenya’s research community in deepening collaboration with the European Union..
Successful Horizon Europe Info Day Focused on “Africa Initiative III” Held at Adama Science and Technology University
On June 25, 2025, Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) hosted the Horizon Europe Info Day and Grant Writing Workshop, coinciding with the 4th Annual Congress of the Computational Science and Engineering Society of Ethiopia (CSESE). The congress, themed “Advancing Sustainable Solutions through Computational Sciences and Engineering: Innovation, Collaboration, and Impact,” took place from June 25 to 26, attracting over 250 participants, including CSESE executive members, and esteemed professors, researchers, graduate students from various universities and institutions across the country participated in the conference. The primary focus of the morning session was on exploring funding, mobility, and networking opportunities within the Horizon Europe framework, with particular emphasis on the Africa Initiative III.
Horizon Europe Info Day and Grant Writing Workshop focused on “Africa Initiative III” Held at Haramaya University
Haramaya, Ethiopia – June 23, 2025 – The Horizon Europe Info Day and Grant Writing Workshop was hosted at Haramaya University, attracting over 200 researchers, innovators, academics, and university leaders, including representatives from Dire Dawa University, Kebri Dehar University, and Jigjiga University. The event focused on exploring funding, mobility, and networking opportunities within the Horizon Europe 2025 Work Program, particularly centered on Africa Initiative III.
