About the Course

Aim of the Course

The program aims to train high-level scientists capable of conducting active research to develop effective solutions for improving plant production. It also focuses on developing methods to combat pests affecting crops and harvests. Graduates will gain expertise in implementing sustainable and environmentally friendly pest management strategies, with a strong mastery of relevant methodologies.

Targeted Knowledge

The program aims to develop competencies in the following areas:

  • Enhancing knowledge of flora and vegetation in Algeria.
  • Understanding the biology, ecology, and interactions among cultivated plants, weeds, natural enemies, and pathogenic fungi.
  • Improving agricultural production through the mastery of modern agronomic techniques.
  • Contributing to agricultural productivity and the protection of natural resources while respecting major ecological and environmental balances.
  • Strengthening capacities for the environmentally friendly use of active substances, considering human and animal health.
  • Improving local plant varieties and species to increase yield.
  • Providing education to train students as true specialists in agronomy.
